Program Schedule

Students in the program will receive intensive instruction in a series of artistic media, make local excursions to professional art studios and work places, speak with published writers about their craft, participate in recreational activities, and work collaboratively with other students. Finally, students will also have free time to think, reflect, and work on their own.

The weekdays are quite busy. After breakfast, students begin their major classes at 8:15 a.m., break for lunch, and continue until 3:15 p.m. Two hours of free time in the afternoon are followed by dinner. Collaborative art projects occur between 6:15 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., and showings, exhibits, discussions, presentations, and group activities until 10:30 p.m. Curfew closes out the day every day at 11:05 p.m.

On Saturday mornings, major classes are held as usual, but afternoons are free. Students may choose to participate in organized recreational activities, field trips, etc., or enjoy their free time on their own. Studios are open for students who wish to work.

Sundays are free days, and open for family visits. Parents may sign their student out for the day if they wish. No classes are held, but as ever, studios are open for students who wish to work.
